The animation is brilliant.
I never cry at movies, but I definitely got a lump in my throat. Something about the sacrifices that adults make in order to protect children from the full horrors of war, it just gets to me.

I didn't know they'd made it into a film. I totally want to see it now.
is that the one with the guy who has one foot bigger than the other or something? is it in french (or maybe a french-sounding language)?
Adam - it's very good if you can find a theater that's showing it (it's a French import if I understand correctly)
Sara - I'm not sure.. the only part I can think of where there's one foot bigger than the other is when the woman who wrote the book/movie is describing puberty and she talks about different body parts being disproportionately large all of a sudden, like her left foot.
It's playing at Manchester, I think I'll see if I can get a couple spare hours this weekend and catch it.
I watched the trailer and it looks amazing.
I meant to say, in regards to your post, "the sacrifices that adults make in order to protect children from the full horrors of war." That's part of what made Life is Beautiful and Pan's Labrinth so great. Although Pan's Labrinth was more about what the child did to block out such horrid events.

Yeah actually, it's funny you mention Life is Beautiful Adam because that's exactly what I was thinking of.
So, yeah, I'm going to go see it today. I'm excited.
Also, I think I'm going to try and pick up the novels as well.
