titers of plasma estrogen

If I might, for your edification, gentle readers quote from the book Endocrinology 5th edition by Mac E. Hadley:

"...in the absence of a hormonal directive, the spiral arteries become constricted and the blood lost from these arteries along with stromal debris composes the bulk of the menstrual flow..."

Or as my old, white, male mammalogy professor put it: “disappointed uterus syndrome”

It seems that even my own body is working against me.

But, I refuse to be cowed by my reproductive system.

Like it or not my dear ovaries, we’re fulfilling our biological imperative over my dead body.
